The Halifax Explosion

This playlist was started Dec 23, 2025 and is in progress....In the late 80's and early 1990s, a loose network of bands, venues, and independent labels centered in Halifax, Nova Scotia began drawing national attention. While rarely labeled as a “scene” by its participants at the time, the cluster would later be widely referred to as The Halifax Pop Explosion.
