This is the first tape that I recorded. There are four original songs by me, two by Gus Burton, two old country songs and two traditional. Due to the font size being bigger than expected, the dedication line was mistaken as the title. It was supposed to be a self titled album.
It was a very exciting venture indeed to work in a real recording studio. I am so glad I had the chance to experience it. But if you like singing in the shower, because you like the acoustics, forget it. I have no words to describe to you what it is like singing in a sound proof booth.
This tape received good attention. I enjoyed hearing myself on the radio, and the interviews were fun too. My favorite was going on the radio program The Schooner Baccalieu Show, hosted by Len Penton.. He made me feel like a star.
The photos for my tapes were taken by my friend John Wall. This photo was taken just two weeks or so before I gave birth.
