Information/Write-up

Metal On Metal is the second studio album by Canadian heavy metal band Anvil, released on April 15 1982. The album was produced by Grammy-nominated producer Chris Tsangarides (Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzy). The band's influence on notable heavy metal groups Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, and Metallica is evident in the growl and howl of Steve "Lips" Kudlow's vocals on the title track and the chugging guitars and blistering blast beats of "March Of The Crabs." Anvil! The Story of Anvil (2008), an Emmy-winning documentary about the band by director and former Anvil roadie Sacha Gervasi, has been lauded as one of the greatest "rockumentaries" ever made.

Steve "Lips" Kudlow: lead vocals, lead guitar
Dave Allison: rhythm guitar, vocals
Ian Dickson: bass
Robb Reiner: drums

Produced and engineered by Chris 'Vibes' Tsangarides
Recorded and mixed at Phase One Studios, Toronto, Ontario, Jan-Feb, 1982
