The A side "I Love Candy" is a sweet pop rock track, but the B side 'If I Could Reach You' was more influenced by this psychedelic period. Tim Eaton got his start as member of The Marshmallow Soup Group and had only one hit record, "I Love Candy", in 1969. The record led to a show in Lima, Peru at the International Trade Fair. After the demise of the band, Eaton embarked on a solo career and formed his own backing band called Timothy. He released several singles from 1972 through 1973 and released one more single under the pseudonym of Buster Brown.
