Information/Write-up

Robert (Bob) King, the international newest singing sensation, was born on a farm on the outskirts of Kingston, January 9, 1935. A tall, good looking young man, Bob has entertained himself to thousands of Teenagers as well as adults. He received his first musical success in singing with the church choir and the aid of his family piano. Bob has come a long way from the Saturday night family get-togethers and is singing the songs that he heard and Crooners were singing over the radio stations in the thirties. He writes some of the lyrics, selects the songs, and with his band, the CountryKings, arranges them. This Ottawa-born boy has made appearances on radio and early tv alike. This is a distillation of Bob’s tremendous popularity. Also Bob’s modern style, understanding interpretation and fine voice, have united many traditional elements of music with the modern ideas.

The album was produced with the idea of pleasing the very people and the people who loved and cherished this simple idea known as country music. Herein you will find a generous collection of hits, and your favorite old songs and some newer ones. Some of the numbers have been long out of date, but have been freshly inspired and scratch with those from the lost days of yore. A vocal who has been highly praised by the critics from coast to coast, especially on his recent trip to California with Bob Hope.

Bob’s warm and sincere projection of these selections makes one feel as though he was right beside you, singing you a beautiful ballad, telling a story in music or singing a theme for a true-to-life play.

Rada Records is proud to have been a part of this production, to enable you the Radio Fan to appreciate Bob King.

“May we close with a saying of Bob’s which no doubt is the sentiment of all of us, ‘If you want to have a friend, be one.’”
