ST (EP)

This self-titled instrumental shred EP comes from Toronto Canada’s Mike Milan Dedic. While a 5-song collection of Neoclassical guitar pyrotechnics isn’t for everyone, within its genre it fires on all cylinders and makes a strong statement for Dedic both as a player and composer. With clear influences in the Neoclassical and Power Metal genres (Dedic cites Ritchie Blackmore and Uli Jon Roth among others) all 5 of the tracks offer consistent songwriting, aggressive (yet memorable) melodies, and blistering speed runs that push this album firmly into shred master territory. Fans of Yngwie Malmsteen, Vinnie Moore and Marty Friedman will feel right at home.

Dedic’s mastery of his instrument shines through and keeps the listener interested until the end. This is Dedic’s 3rd release and hopefully is a taste of things to come should he decide to release another full-length album in the future. Until then, this EP provides ample inspiration anytime you feel the need to grab your air guitar and rock out.
