Information/Write-up

The Swing Sisters was a Toronto-based Canadian jazz group drawing its material from the swing and traditional styles. They are well-known in Ontario, and have travelled as far afield as the Women’s Jazz Festival in Kansas City, Mo. They have appeared on radio and television including National Public Radio in the U.S. (along with trumpeter Stacey Rowles), and C.K.F.M.’s Toronto Alive Series.

Guest artists appearing with The Swing Sisters have included ‘Doc’ Cheatham, Jim Galloway, Kathryn Moses, and Norman Amadio.
