Information/Write-up

Tara Lett was born to humanitarian parents in Alberta, Canada. Her parent's charitable work often took the family all over the world; from living in the multicultural metropolis of Montreal, to small rural villages in Africa. Any Other Day songs (Ethiopia, Cameroon). One thing was always sure however, wherever Tara found herself in the world, you could always find her singing! As a girl she sung in choirs, churches, restaurants and always around the house!

Her debut performance as a soloist was at a Vancouver eatery at the tender age of 7 years old. Tara attended high school in northern BC and moved to Vancouver to work with legend performer Ray Carroll of "The Platters" (The Great Pretender, Smoke Gets in your Eyes and former co-manager of Michael Buble) Under Ray's Instruction, she gained precious performance experience and quickly became one of his most promising proteges.

Within the year she was offered a position in the group the "G-Force Girls" and began recording and playing all over Canada and the United States. The "G Force Girls" played such gigs as The Venetian Hotel Club "Venus", and headlined "Indy Week" in Toronto.

Later in her career Tara formed the folk duo "Twincity" where she was featured as not only a lead vocalist, but also as a musician; playing guitar and rhythm for the band. Twincity was chosen to open for critically acclaimed Holly McNarland (Universal) and developed a strong local following in the Vancouver club scene.

With all this going on Tara decided to enrol with the Vancouver Community College music program and also joined the famed "Felions", BC Lions CFL dance team. That year she not only immersed herself in piano, guitar, theory and ear training lessons, she also danced her way to the Grey Cup sharing the stage with the likes of Nelly Furtado and Tom Cochrane, not to mention cheering the lions on to win the Grey Cup!

Armed with a strong foundation in principles of music and a fierce desire to be in the spotlight, Tara decided she was ready to begin recording her first solo album and teamed up with producer/songwriter Dave Pickell (Kelly Rowland, Lara Fabian, Robbie Robertson).

Tara's playful debut album is funky, fun and soulfully written. Her debut album "Any Other Day" is jam packed with fresh, original songs that will make anyone at any age want to get up and dance!
