Information/Write-up

Liner Notes: Pre-release 7" EP June 1982 Images In Vogue’s first vinyl release was this 7” three song EP. For Germans was IIV’s first recording at Mushroom Studios in January 1982. It’s the only IIV recording on which Dale plays an instrument—he and Kevin both manipulate the Roland TR-808 drum machine. Breaking Up and Politics of Sound were recorded in March 1982 as part of an unreleased album. The cover and title of Prerelease was inspired by Ryuchi Sakamoto’s Riot in Lagos 12” single, “pre-release” implying that there was to be an album to follow. Pre-release was a limited edition release with 500 numbered copies in a green cardboard sleeve.
