About This Title
Painting With Ella is a three-piece Edmonton-based acoustic folk group that was formed in February of 2008, made up of Emily Guthrie, Robyn Newman-Wilson, and Jaclyn Turville. Their vocal harmony emphasis and their "less-is-more" musicality are their signature elements.
Their close friendship, which developed during their years in the Junior High and High School programs at Victoria School of the Arts, has brought them even closer as musicians and has allowed them to create a sound unique to their group. All of their songs are original compositions, and each member is a recognized songwriter.
