Here's is the first (shorter and different) version of Gaye Delorme's most popular song (well excluding The Rodeo Song) which appeared in 1989 on the CBC Coast to Coast VIII, a year before he re-recorded it on his album "Blue Wave Sessions".
"Gaye Delorme is one of the most respected names in the music business in his native Alberta. He is an extraordinary guitarist and the master of many styles. A self-taught musician, Gaye has worked on many recording sessions including soundtracks to several Cheech and Chong movies. His "chops" have made him a legend in the West."

Engineered by Don Pennington
Here's Jan's second recording (her first was on Compilation Coast to Coast VII, released in 1988). Jann Arden is an institution in Calgary and she used to be my neighbour. Her first album was released four years later and it did not include this recording. Jann has won 8 Juno awards and has been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. She has also written 5 books and has her own TV comedy show JANN.
"Jan, who recently opened for Harry Belafonte, is no stranger to the Calgary music scene. Noted for her outgoing stage personality, Jan brings a strong wit to her live perfomances around Calgary. She is currently working on new original compositions."

Cindy Church - Deep Water
Produced in Calgary by Les Siemieniuk
Engineered by Don Pennington
Cindy recorded and performed regularly with Ian Tyson as part of the Chinook Arch Riders. Church also provided vocals for four of his contemporary cowboy albums. This recording represents her embarkment of a solo career signing with Stony Plain. Her first album "Love on the Range" was released in 1992. Deep Water did not appear on that album making it unique to this recording.
"Cindy Church and her husband Nathan are currently two thirds of the Great Western Orchestra. They also perform around Alberta as a dui. "Deep Water" is performed clean and simple; just a guitar, base and lots of talent. Cindy resides in Turner Valley, a small ranching town south of Calgary."
