Information/Write-up

MARC JORDAN
Marc Jordan was born in New York City and raised in Toronto. His introduction to music came early through his father — a vocalist and teacher, and brother — an accomplished cellist. It was inevitable that in such an atmosphere one would become involved in at least some type of performing. With Marc’s career just “starting” places such as Winnipeg, seldom months on the road in a band that brings in good reviews and a following, while certainly draining, the touring experience further introduced his ability to communicate with an audience. By summer ‘74, Marc had developed his particular and personal style to the point that he realized it was time to seek out a serious recording career.

Produced in Toronto by Ann Hunter
Engineered by Larry Morey

JOHN CAPEK
This is a re-issue of John Capek’s first Broadcast Recording which was met with excellent distribution. John came to Canada from Australia for the purpose of working on an album with Ceri Eirson. He liked the Toronto music scene so much that he decided to remain and make Canada his home. This is one of the most talented keyboard artists and musicians in the mid 70’s. He is heavily associated with current pop/rock today, playing the keyboards heard and strings by Milan Kymlicka. All the tunes are his own compositions.

Produced in Toronto by Paul Mills
Engineered by K. Duncan

NANCY SIMMONDS
Nancy Simmonds is a singer/songwriter originally from London, Ontario. She has performed in numerous clubs, concerts and folk festivals as well as in recording sessions backing up such notables as Leona Boyd and Tom Rush. She also had a knack for writing pop melodies as released album produced by ex-Bob Dylan producer, Bob Johnston. She is an accomplished songwriter with a country slant and a lot of energy. We think you’ll enjoy this sampling of her work.

Engineered by D. Dobbs

BOB McMULLIN
Bob McMullin was born in Lewiston, Utah, but the family moved to Raymond, Alberta, when Bob was four. In Raymond, the McMullins were known as a musical family, with professional musicians. By the time he was 11, Bob was playing drums in his family’s band. During WWII, he served in the RCAF and toured Europe with the RCAF dance band. After the war, he worked in Edmonton as an arranger and composer for network radio shows, playing trumpet and clarinet on others. Winnipeg became his home in 1955. The CBC programs on which Bob has numerous credits as composer, musical director, or musician are far too numerous to list. For this recording, Bob provides us with three themes used for popular CBC TV programs.

Produced in Winnipeg by Dave Bird
Engineered by J. Rogers
