Information/Write-up

The Small Town Band from Richmond, B.C., was first heard on CBC Radio in one of Juliette’s “Talentscope” broadcasts from Vancouver in 1971. Subsequently, they made a CBC Broadcast Recording (LM 173) and became popular with programmers from coast to coast. Since that time, the size of the group has decreased considerably — from five to two members! On this new recording, Stevan Howie is heard on acoustic guitar, electric bass, drums and harmonica; his brother Brian is heard on both acoustic and electric guitars. Brian wrote the four songs and both brothers provide the lead and back-up vocals. A talented pair indeed — The Small Town Band.

Stevan Howie: acoustic guitar, electric bass, drums, harmonica
Brian Skana: acoustic and electric guitars

Produced by John Merrit, Vancouver, British Columbia
Engineered by Don Hardisty
