Information/Write-up

Ron has played with The Best of The Bad Men, a group made of mostly family members including Dennis Carney, Dennis Sillito, Elwood (Woody) Sillito, and Wade Sillito. They played a lot of rodeo dances through Saskatchewan and Alberta. The song 'Buckskin and Leather' is about an ole cowboy, reminiscing about the past. It is told in such great detail that it is perfect for a storyline for a movie. Basically, the story is following two cowboys drifting around Alberta trying to make a living. This song was written by Dennis Carney, from Red Deer, Alberta. This song also holds a special place in the hearts of each of these band members. For Dennis Carney, he wrote this song for his Grandfather, who was very ill at the time.

'Pockets Full Of Dreams' is a ballad that written with such introspective thought and meaning that to this day, it is claimed to be the best they’ve ever written.

Truth be told, this country crooner has a voice like butter with wonderful instrumental highlights that bring depth and texture to his songs. That signature country twang is ever present in his music and brings delight and happy thoughts of how life used to be.

The Best of the Bad Men had opened for Ronnie Milsap for a couple of concerts in British Columbia.
