Information/Write-up

Lukey’s Boat" sets the pace for this spirited collection of Newfoundland and Maritime songs, performed by one of the foremost artists of the genre—Dick Nolan.

Born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Nolan was a regular performer on two of the island’s major TV network shows and at the town’s most popular nightspot. After moving to the mainland, he toured extensively across Canada and became a folk hero in Toronto—home to the largest Maritime population outside the Maritimes.

His music resonates deeply with this community, and his previous albums—Atlantic Lullaby, I’se the B’y, and Be True Newfoundlanders—have become collector’s items among folk enthusiasts.

Like these previous recordings, Lukey’s Boat delivers authentic Newfoundland and Maritime songs, performed true to the idiom. Once again, Dick Nolan is sure to captivate and delight both his compatriots and music lovers alike.
