The inmates at Folsom, eager for a diversion, were known to be a tough crowd, ready to boo off the stage anyone they found insincere. But Johnny Cash came, saw, and conquered.
With the success of his weekly television show, Cash has further cemented his place as an icon, bringing together Country, Country & Western, and Folk artists.
