Champignons

Band from Shawinigan, Qc, Canada. Created and led by Émile Naud to promote French ''Underground'' music in 1972.
Members: Alain Charette, Alain Lavallée, Alain Vincent, Daniel Maillette, Émile Naud, Jacques Paradis

In May 1972, Émile Naud wanted to follow his music career instead of religion.
While he was a curate in the parish St-Pierre in Shawinigan, he met musicians in their 20s and formed the band Champignons.
They toured from the 22 December 1972 to mid-1973 to promote their album (wich was given to spectators during shows) and the French ''Underground'' music.

They joined Les Jeunes Artistes Associés wich their goal was to promote the young ''Underground'' bands from Quebec.

They were among the first bands to promote the French ''Underground'' music with Le Match, Sex, Jude 3, Dionysos and many more.
