Biography:

Juupie Arnaituk of Wakeham Bay, Northern Quebec, is pictured with his backup band. From left to right: Randall Prescott, Ed Bimm, Mich Pouliot, Juupie Arnaituk, and Gary Spicier. Juupie's songs were recorded at Snocan Studios, Ottawa, in January 1988. His music ranges from fun songs for kids such as the "Hide and Seek" song to stories of discovery. "How Northern Quebec Was Discovered" tells of his great great great grandfather who left what is now Siberia many many years ago on a hunting trip. He eventually travelled through Alaska, The Northwest Territories and Greenland before reaching Northern Quebec. There are also humorous songs such as "Plastic Bag" which tells of a hunter who, with only a few bullets, kept shooting at plastic bags on the ice, thinking they were seals. Juupie's singing style is a catchy blend of humour, warmth and fun. He's surely one of the North's most entertaining performers.

Randall Prescott: bass, harmonica
Mich Pouliot: drums
Gary Spicier: guitar, dobro
Ed Bimm: keyboards
