Fupper is a solo project by the musician Simon Hughes which has been in existence for well over 20 years.
Focused on albums, driven to represent moods, ebb and flow, wow and flutter, and yet remain balanced and work as single listening experiences that rarely go over 30 minutes, the ideal length.
Starting as tape experiments and songwriting, into sampling and electronics, repetition, found sounds, layering and editing, erring on the side of melancholy with playfulness and humor.
Often driven by story telling, moments of streaming conscience, filtered through the music and fed back, keeping it loose until they complete themselves.
Taking the flexibility offered to production into a pure and honest representation of captured moments, and musical eclecticism.
