Biography:
arriors were a former Yugoslav/Canadian heavy metal band. The band was formed in 1982 under the name Ratnici (Serbian for Warriors), changing the name to Warriors in 1983. In 1984, the band moved to Canada, disbanding in 1986.
The band was formed in 1982 by the vocalist Dušan Nikolić and Riblja Čorba drummer Vicko Milatović . The first lineup of the band also featured the guitarist Zoran Konjević and the bass guitarist Slobodan Svrdlan and guitarist Dragan Deletic
In 1982, the band released their debut EP Ratnici – Warriors, with four songs (two of them with English and two with Serbian language lyrics), through Yugoslav record label PGP-RTB. After the album release, Milatović had to leave the band due to his army obligations, and Canadian guitarist Douglass Platt who Zoran brought from Canada to replace Deletić. In 1983, the band released their first self-titled album through PGP-RTB. with Tom Martin on drums, however, not as an official band member.Sep.1983 Warriors moved on advice of guitar player Zoran Konjevic to North America switching their home base to Toronto Canada
After the release of their First debut EP and first Yugoslavian album, in 1984 Warriors signed for the Canadian record label Attic Records and recorded their second self-titled album. After the album release, with new Canadian drummer Lawrence Gretsch, the band went on North American tour disbanding shortly after in 1986.
