JIMMY NAMARO

is an artist. Whether as a painter, composer, arranger, conductor, instrumentalist, actor, panelist or lecturer, his qualities as a professional. He first rose to national prominence as a member of The Happy Gang, but since then has achieved equally high acclaim south of the border. The maestro of the marimba, vibraphone and piano has been given big-band backing for his interpretation of MAN OF LA MANCHA.

JERRY TOTH

is a very talented man whose stature as an arranger, composer and conductor continues to grow by leaps and bounds throughout the entertainment world. He also has been deeply involved with the radio-TV production and industrial end of the musical business. Listen to his fresh arrangements for THE FOOL ON THE HILL, BUT FOR LOVE and IT’S A GREAT LIFE.

PETER APPLEYARD

is considered to be one of the best vibe-men in the world. In addition to being one of the best, he is one of the busiest. Hardly a day will go by that he’s not performing in a studio or before an audience. When you listen to him give forth with the likes of SOULFUL STRUT, you’ll perceive why he is so busy.

ROB McCONNELL

has participated in many recordings, but this is his first stereo recording as conductor or arranger. Here he leads what the music critics have described as the “in” group with an “in” sound — the Boss Brass. Today, his name now rightfully takes its place with the musical greats. When you hear what he does with DON’T GIVE UP, it’s easy to understand why.

BEN McPEEK

is undoubtedly one of the most gifted and prolific composers in the Canadian jingles industry. Every day, millions of Canadians enjoy commercials embellished by his musical genius. And now that he has chosen to concentrate his talent more in the area of popular music, what he does with Gordon Lightfoot’s FOR LOVIN’ ME and his own KAPUSKASING KAPER is proof positive his name will soon become a household word.

BILL BADGLEY

is a former radio announcer turned-performer. He could easily be called Canada’s best-known popular pianist. His many record albums, personal appearances and radio and TV broadcasts, have also placed him in the international entertainment spotlight. Listen to his talented fingers cook up a storm with WALK ON BY, turning it into a gourmet’s delight.

LUCIO AGOSTINI

has for many years enjoyed one of the most colourful musical careers in Canadian show business. A career that has brought his skills as a composer, arranger and conductor to the attention of millions of Canadians. Latin American music has long been a specialty of his: a fact you will appreciate while listening to him conduct his own arrangement for ST. THOMAS.
