Released March 30, 2011
Apart from “Big Top,” the other 11 tracks on McLeod’s album are instrumentals that don’t easily fall into a single genre. That is, the album isn’t surf, jazz, Hendrix-influenced, latin or anything that can be pigeonholed. McLeod’s emphasis is on writing tunes with definite arrangements for his expressive guitar playing such as “The Contract,” which might have a Peter Green influence. The one song is playful and is a clue to the lighthearted character of the whole album.
