Insight

As a member of Sarah McLachlan's band from 1993-2003, and with k.d.lang from 92-95, David has toured North America, Europe and the Orient, and appeared on shows including Jay Leno, David Letterman, Conan O'Brien, Saturday Night Live, Larry Sanders, MTV Unplugged, VH1Storytellers, The Grammy Awards Show (93, 98), Juno Awards, concerts at Royal Albert Hall in London, Radio City Music Hall in New York, The National Theatre in Taiwan and many more.

He has recorded and/or toured with many other artists including Matthew Lien, Amy Sky, Michael Buble, Daniel Powter, Patrizio Buane, Rita MacNeil, Valdy, Susan Jacks, Terry Jacks, Prism, Irish Rovers, Leon & Eric Bibb, BTO, Jon Raven, and Gary Fjellgaard, played on and/or composed music for many TV series and films, including North of 60, Reboot, Beast Wars, Bordertown, Fly By Night, Tom Stone, Edgemont, and Weird-Ohs, has played with the Vancouver Symphony, The Opera Orchestra and the Vancouver Chamber Choir and was featured in articles in Guitar Player magazine in July and August, 1998 and October, 1999.

In the 1980s, his bands Straight Lines and Body Electric had several radio hits, including the Juno-nominated, top-ten hit Letting Go, and ShutterFly, a band with his son and daughter has released two CDs, ShutterFly and Fly Away Home.

David's first guitar CD, Acoustic Christmas, was given a four-and-a-half star rating in the Vancouver Province, and was chosen #3 on the 2006 'Christmas Classics' list. No Words is a celtic-bluesy-jazzy mix of original and traditional pieces for acoustic guitar.
