John Durelle was born in 1941 in the tiny fishin village of Baie Ste Ann, New Brunswick. After a few years in the army, he moved to Montreal, where he met Ronnie Prophet and performed with Charlie Louvin, Mack Wiseman and other great performers. He moved back to New Brunswick to record this album. Interestingly, Henri Pierre Noël plays drums on a few of the tracks.
