Naya Ali: A Rising Force in Canadian Hip-Hop
Ethiopian-born and based in Montreal, rapper Naya Ali burst onto the Canadian hip-hop scene in 2017 with her debut EP, Higher Self, bringing a fresh and electrifying energy. Quickly recognized for her striking personality, exceptional flow, and unique voice, she has an undeniable ability to immerse listeners into her world without compromise.

In March 2020, she made waves once again with the release of Godspeed: Baptism (Prelude), the first installment of a two-part album project. This release reaffirmed her talent, proving she could stand alongside the biggest names in American rap. In 2021, she followed up with Godspeed: Elevated, a fittingly titled sequel. While the prelude served as an introduction, this second chapter cemented Naya Ali as an artist of extraordinary power, boldness, and—most importantly—vulnerability. This mature and deeply personal album, inspired by the emotions she experienced in recent years, traces her journey from her early days in the rap game, from her "baptism" to her "elevation." The project earned her the prestigious Félix Award for Anglophone Album of the Year at the 44th ADISQ Gala in 2022.
