Liner Notes
Back in the summer, after several years of touring with my ukulele, I began to hear new sounds in my head. I started a quest to find what I was hearing. Along the way I picked up “Pearl”, a 3 string Cigar Box Guitar from John Sharples in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Next came the “57 Special”, a 4 string guitar that Darren Brown in Canning, Nova Scotia made from a license plate Graeme Bachiu sent from Hamilton, Ontario. I connected with some old friends, new gear and I started playing old blues tunes and slide guitar again.
The result is this collection of jug band instruments recorded on these 19 tracks...9 songs and 10 instrumentals recorded in January of 2014.
I hope you'll like it as much as I do.
