Mac Beattie and His Melodiers are known as the Ambassadors of good will from the beautiful Ottawa Valley, where they make their home and where they are featured nightly at the Hotel Renfrew in Renfrew, Ontario, the Show Place in the heart of this great Tourist Paradise.

Mac, Reg Hill and Gaetan Fairfield are known to millions of TV viewers across Canada for their numerous appearances on the Don Messer Jubilee and other network TV and radio shows. Mac and His Melodiers have their own radio and TV shows over CHOV Radio and Channel 5, Pembroke, Ontario.

Featured with Mac on this album is Reg Hill on fiddle and bass, Gaetan Fairfield on rhythm guitar, Bob Whitney with alto sax and drums, Allan Utronki on steel, electric Spanish guitar and bass, and Jimmy Mayhew on piano.

Mac composes all his songs for recording and one of his greatest efforts is his tribute to the late Ward Allen entitled “Maple Sugar Blues” which is contained in this album.

The many friends of Mac & His Ottawa Valley Melodiers will welcome this great new album.
