Liner Notes
As you may have guessed from the title, this collection contains country and western. The emphasis is on authentic western. With her pure poetic gift, Carmen Lindsay captures the essence of the frontier.

It is immediately obvious why this charismatic lady has been an integral part of countless cowboy poetry gatherings over the years. Her lyrical graphics and brilliant insight are propelled by her unique vocal style. From warm intimacy to a fiery power, her originals receive appropriate treatment. Her display of diversity includes clever satire and as she probes into another forte...gospel.

Rita MacNeil, a powerhouse songwriter, recognized the honesty and depth in Carmen's Angels. The Maritimer performed the composition on her national TV show and recorded it on her Common Dream album.

In professional songwriting circles the term "songwriter's songwriter" is the ultimate mark of praise. This album confirms it.
