Notes
This anthology documents the complete recorded history of Youth Youth Youth, spanning early rehearsal recordings through the band’s final studio material.

Youth Youth Youth first appeared with a self-titled nine-song demo cassette released in summer 1982. Additional material followed with four tracks on the T.O.H.C. ’83 compilation cassette in spring 1983. The group issued its only official release, the seven-song twelve-inch EP Sin, in early 1984, later contributing a track to a B.Y.O. compilation LP. In 1989, Fringe Product issued Repackaged, combining the Sin EP with remixed demo material and out-takes.

Tracks 1–7 were recorded in June 1983 at Comfort Sound, Toronto, engineered by Blair Packham. These are the original mixes released on the Sin twelve-inch EP, sourced from the master tapes.

Track 8 was recorded in November 1983 at Comfort Sound, Toronto, and appears here in the same mix originally released on the 1984 B.Y.O. compilation.

Tracks 9–14 were recorded in March 1983 at Accusonic Studio, Toronto, engineered by Paul Gallien. ‘Made in England,’ ‘Wanderlust,’ and ‘White Reggae’ originally appeared on the T.O.H.C. ’83 compilation cassette. Although several of these tracks were remixed for the 1989 Repackaged LP, the versions included here are the original 1983 mixes. ‘The One in the Middle / Blue Stain’ was previously unreleased.

Tracks 15–25 were recorded in June 1982 at Accusonic Studio, Toronto, engineered by Paul Gallien. Tracks 15–23 formed the original 1982 Youth Youth Youth demo cassette. ‘Why Me’ and ‘Union Jackass’ were recorded during the same sessions but remained unreleased.

Tracks 26–27 were taken from a remastered rehearsal cassette recorded live to tape in late February 1982 at the Young Lions’ garage. These recordings capture early versions of songs never revisited in later studio sessions.

Track 28, ‘Louie Louie / Part Time Punks,’ was recorded during the June 1982 Accusonic session but left off the original demo cassette. A remixed version appeared on Repackaged alongside tracks 15, 19, 20, 22, and 23; the anthology restores the original recording.
