Information/Write-up
Every generation and every nation has had righteous radicals for God. These were mighty mean and women who laid down their lives to see righteousness established in their generation and nation. Canada is no different. Stand on Guard is full of the stories and statements of Canadian heroes who did just this. However, more than a compilation of research this book is a trumpet call -- a call to the current generation to rise up and do the same. It is a call to bring into view, re-estabilish, and steward the righteous foundations laid by the generations past but that are no longer in plain sight, and, it is a call to reformation of the unrighteous ideals and systems that have taken root in Canada. Stand on Guard reminds us of our righteous inheritance, so that, we can stand with added confidence in our generation and see the dominion of Jesus Christ manifested in every arena of the nation.
-Faytene Kryskow (Grasseschi)
Each song on this companion CD was written during times of prayer for the nation of Canada. The lyrics from "Confederation Song" are drawn completely from Chapter 3 of the book (i.e. what was written in the newspapers of Canada on Dominion Day 1867). "Oh Canada" is a call for the nation to arise and come into our destiny in God.
"May I Have This Dance" was written in honour of the 2003 La Danse tour and is a plea from English-speaking Canada to French-speaking Canada to come into the kind of unity that was in the hearts of the founders of the nation.
Song lyrics are printed in the back of the book:
"Stand on Guard: A Prophetic Call and Research on the Righteous Foundations of Canada."
