Dream
A succession of images, thoughts, or emotions passing through the mind during sleep. An involuntary vision occurring to a person when awake. A vision voluntarily indulged in while awake: daydream, reverie, something of an unreal beauty, charm, or excellence.
Aria
A lyrical song for solo voice with orchestral accompaniment, generally expressing intense emotion, found in opera.
Arioso: Short, aria-like passage.
Cantata: Vocal genre for solo singers, chorus, and instrumentalists based on lyric or dramatic poetic narrative.
Dream Aria fans already know that this band defies being pigeonholed into a particular genre, and to these devoted listeners, that’s one of the first exciting reasons to love this band! Dream Aria’s music is guaranteed to appeal to just about everyone’s musical tastes! It’s that simple. This sophomore release, "Transcend," confirms the above fact even more. Along with their debut, "In the Wake," it’s already Top Shelf material for me, meaning that it’s one of those rare albums where I can’t decide where to “drop the needle,” so to speak. These songs are so individual and unique in character and will truly touch your soul. You’ll agree as the opening track leads you in your journey through this powerful, colorful, emotional, and soulfully healing disc.
Each member of Dream Aria is extremely talented! A perfect marriage of angelic vocals and superb instrumentation, entrancing the listener with delightful storytelling. They’ve tapped into so many areas of my soul since first hearing them several years ago. I’ve been so proud to include their music in my radio show, Classic FM, especially here in its 30th year anniversary. Perhaps, after listening, you’ll ask other DJs to do the same—and what a nice gift "Transcend" would make!
