Information/Write-up
Robert Connolly recorded the album 'Plateau' in 1978 on Tube Records. This rare prog rock 45rpm was recorded three years earlier under the moniker 'Plateau'. 'My Life' did not appear on the album. 'Under the Big House' was renamed 'The Oracle' on the album version, but it is the same recording. Robert had forgotten all about the song, so I sent Robert the file from a vinyl to digital transfer so he could do some remastering.
"I forgot all about that song. I am now sitting here in my home Atmos studio working on the songs for my Second film about Nikola Tesla and his inventions for Frequency Therapy which include music therapy VIBRATION.
Now, listening to my first single, that I have not heard since making that record, I realize that it came to me here in my studio at a very synchronistic time. A full circle - I am now remembering “My Life" quite clearly - which is proving a scientific phenomena that you are going to play a very important part of - once you realize the importance of music - frequency therapy and how you will be able to treat the Alzheimers disease that so many Canadian Musicians will eventually suffer from.

I appreciate, that you appreciate Canadian music, and have made me a part of it - I will give you some exclusive information that I hope will be of some benefit to you…..and the people that created the music you seem to be so dedicated preserving and presenting online.
You should listen to the words of that song “My Life”. Write them down, publish them and then contemplate what the meaning of that song is. I did not write the lyrics - Howard Strutt our singer did that - he played a few chords backing his melody and I orchestrated and produced that song in my first studio - Cosmic Sound…with everyone that was in Plateau playing their instruments - I played Keyboards…..
It was sort of our attempt at ELP - Lucky Man - a commercial song because everyone said we were not radio-oriented. We hoped to get a manager that could see the band's talents and Side 1 commercial - side 2 being more progressive. At that time, My Life was so different from what the band was creating - and the words did not have meaning to us then - but they mean a lot now to me NOW.
However - the timing of you sending me that song - which I pay attention to because it comes from the Universe - only confirmed the importance of what I am now about to do.
It brought tears to my eyes and shiver up my back - to took me back to my early roots when I began my career at 18 as a professional musician - and I have gone through so many changes in my life. So many miracles, so many places of wonder and so much accumulation of knowledge about the real world we live in.
In short, here is my story:
After recording and releasing that single as a demo - I moved my 8 Track Scully studio and the whole band to become partners with Cottingham Sound in Toronto. We played the bar circuit, recorded the song “Journey” in a professional 24 track studio and then after 2 years of starvation - sort of just gave up when no record companies were interested in signing us. I disbanded Plateau, recorded enough songs at Cottingham to produce one LP as a solo artist. The band Plateau agreed to allow me to use the music we had recorded because they did not want to see it go to waste. We all wanted to have a memory of the fun times performing live.
I made 1000 copies of the album as a demo to take to the USA, and gave the first one to Larry Wilson who was a DJ at Chum FM. The next day I was interviewed live on the air and he played every song and asked me what I was thinking about when I wrote the story line that was Ancient Alien oriented. That was like dropping an Ancient Aliens bomb on Toronto and Larry almost lost his job for doing that.
The next day I got a call from JC Enterprises, a rack jobber and they wanted those 1000 copies for a store window display at Sam the Record Man. The next day after that I was making the window display - and was getting a full page write-up in the Hamilton newspaper. Hamilton boy makes good.
I sold all of my equipment to get money to survive in America - except my guitar, and moved to Hollywood soon after that. One week after I arrived, I handed the record to the A&R department head Harvey Kubernick at MCA Universal and said ’"This is a concept album for my feature musical film about Aliens that visited earth. The comic book was the story board - the pitch.” Instead of the animated movie Heavy Metal - It was the music for a progressive animated feature rock film about Ancient Aliens.” After a week they got back to me and said OK…….
But that fame would come with a price which everyone is starting to learn about with what happens in Hollywood and I said NO THANK YOU.
I will leave that to your imagination…….
So - Instead of being a musician - I became a record producer, moved back to Canada and discovered and produced acts like Lee Aaron hoping to move towards music video production. I made my first music video - Metal Queen and that started her career.
I then started to produce feature music movies for Thor - Rock and Roll nightmare for $50 grand - which was impossible to do at that time - but I have a talent for system integration with computers. That first comedy feature film played in a movie theatre in film without using work prints. It was all edited-on video tape and the music was from a Macintosh Plus computer. I changed the methods of post-production….Hollywood paid attention to how I did it - and that started the ball rolling in Toronto for film production for Hollywood production companies…..
I met my X wife making that Thor film - married her and we travelled for 24 years to make a TV series about the mysteries of the world. Just me and her. I learned a lot - visiting all of the places that I had wanted to go to as a kid when I made that first record. During that time, I got very close to government tourism officials and technology companies to produce the various forms of new media that were emerging -
AND I over used it. It almost killed me.
18 years ago I discovered that the electromagnetic fields that are used for our modern technology can both harm and heal. Industry kept this a secret but things have gotten so bad with our healthcare - the powers that be are going to now allow it to be reintroduced as Tesla’ had once done before. So, I decided to make a feature film about the subject and I am just getting ready to release it to the world. It took me 10 years to produce. I wrote the soundtrack in 5.1 and it has won a lot of awards in the film festival circuit. I am just about to upload it to the streaming media services….
So - that single might have some value soon…

If you want to discover the secrets of the Universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and VIBRATION…. Nikola Tesla
You hold the keys to thousands of musicians that are most likely going to suffer a dreadful ending to their life with Dementia. And it is so simple to help them. Just get their loved ones to play their music to them with large headphones on, NOT EARBUDS - the tesla coils in the headphones will induce an electric field into their mind and it will create a tunnel, a clear channel to THE UNIVERSE where memories are stored….
Tesla said that his brain is only a receiver. His memories are stored in the Universe. I just experienced this phenomenon - again - when you sent me my first song.
I got so many requests from people like you to put my music online, Last month I took my Plateau record - removed the pops and clicks - enhanced it and put in on CD Baby. It was wild listening to it so closely - I remembered so much detail about that time that I had forgotten.
I am spending no time to promote the Plateau record though….Ancient Aliens are a freaky subject, I want to be taken seriously by the medical community - I am focused on Tesla’s Medicine - he's freaky too - but it is the answer to so much chronic disease. "
