Information/Write-up
released February 29, 2016
'Strange Rider' is Noah Zacharin's seventh CD of original songs and music. Unlike much of his previous recorded work, this recording boasts little in the way of acoustic guitar, deriving much of its core sound from various electric guitars in Zacharin's arsenal.
Though often associated with folk music (which he loves AND plays--Mike Seeger, Reverend Gary Davis, Doc Watson being some of his earliest and most enduring models) Zacharin ALSO plays more than folk, demonstrating his versatility and wide-ranging musical interests with this collection of swampy blues, dense laments, gospel and pop tunes.
