Information/Write-up

released June 1, 2023
With a band of some of the planet’s best players, Noah Zacharin applies his acknowledged lyrical and guitar mastery to present a record of “Americana”—an effortless amalgam of jazz, blues, country, and folk, played primarily on acoustic instruments. Ten songs and one instrumental piece (the latter featured in #30 of Fingerstyle Guitar Journal) take the listener on a journey that is often humorous, often heart-rending, always worth the listen.

"With his new release "Points of Light" Canadian singer-songwriter Noah Zacharin proves himself, once again, to be a brilliant lyricist, with eleven new songs exploring, life, love, and the meaning of it all. I find listening to Noah to be a cerebral musical experience, a joy to the ears and to the mind. The album's excellent production quality and many fine musical guests further enhance this superb album."
--Lilli Kuzma, host of "Folk Festival" on WDCB (Glen Ellyn/Chicago)

Eli Marcus (radio host, performer) says: ['Points of Light' is] Noah Zacharin's most diverse and mature album so far. Impeccable guitar playing and wonderful solid songwriting that sometimes reminds me of Tom Waits ("17 Minute") and Jerry Jeff Walker ("Done Gone Gone"); there is even an old Tin Pan Alley or Ragtime style ditty ("Lester Brown"). Johnny Eaton (songwriter/performer) says: After listening to this album repeatedly in my car, at least 3 or 4 songs keep playing in my head for a week or more, and that is for me the test of a wonderful album.
