Progressive synth pop from the 80's featuring fretless bass
M. Scott Matthews released Boats In Rivers as a compilation of two EPs' released in 1983 and 1985. The second EP is called "Role Boys" and , like "Boats In Rivers". It had two "ambient " instrumentals on the B sides. This was at a time before ambient was considered a genre, and was still a somewhat obscure and underground movement. Both "Boats and Role Boys" received CASBY nominations in the 80s in Toronto for Single of the year and most promising male of the year. Scott Matthews is still very active in writing and recording.
