Information/Write-up

Here is an incredible and unknown unreleased acetate, seemingly a home recording jam by Hugh Dixon and the MPH Band. Side B kicks it out with a real garage distortion rocker! Esquire Shuffle shifts it up a notch!

Dixon was the Montreal Instro Guitar King & Race Car Champ! Dixon had previously been in The Lincolns, who recorded one surprisingly hot LP of Elvis Presley's early Rockabilly in 1962. In 1963 he played his last live gigs with NDG's own wild pre-teen rockin' trio The Melody Makers. He backed up Bob Davies on his Rusticana LP's and from 1963-65, worked extensively as a studio session man, appearing on hundreds of local records. Dixon was far better known as the reigning Québec Region Racing Champion. He was also a DJ and a champion of motor races (Austin-Healey Sprite or Jaguar D-Type).

Recorded in The Family Room at 292 Lorraine Drive
Mastered at RCA by P. Mongeau
