Every city had their 'favourite' club band and in the late 70's, Time Machine was undeniably Calgary's favourite club band. A seven-piece band with talented players like Ted Alexander, Ron Kuntz and Hugh MacMillan (who would later become bassist for Spirit of the West), the band was tight, and often on-call for the city's flourishing recording scene's sessions. Recorded in Vancouver, the record achieved significant airplay on both Top 40 and Adult Contemporary playlists in Canada.
Shopping the band for distribution to other labels in other countries presented a problem though - the common complaint, "They sound too much like Chicago". Nonetheless, a second single was to follow.
