Information/Write-up

This charming Edmonton Christmas rarity features radio personality Bob Bradburn narrating a whimsical tale about Santa's barber, "Tiny Tony." The track was recorded in 1970 in collaboration with the Jasper Place High School Stage Band, giving it a delightfully homespun feel. Though it received airplay on Edmonton radio, the record was little known outside the region.

A YouTube user who grew up in Edmonton recalled:

“I heard this on the radio during Christmas and assumed it was a widely known song. I searched online for it for years and finally found the LP on eBay. Turns out it was an Edmonton high school band that recorded this novelty carol—only Edmontonians would have known what the hell I was talking about.”

Written by Bob Bradburn
Produced by Garry McDonall
Arranged by Wallis Petruk
