This single was released in 1965 and was new on the C-FUN top 50 chart Feb 13/65.
Fred Latremouille was one of Vancouver's most popular DJ's during the early to mid 1960's. He worked for CJOR Vancouver from 1962-64 then at CFUN from 1964-65 and then CKLG from 1965-67. While at CFUN, Fred Latremouille released a single on Canadian London Records titled Latromotion with The C-FUN Classics as his backing band.
Latromotion written by C-Fun Classics keyboardist Tom Baird is a raucous mid-tempo instrumental which begins with members of the C-FUN Classics shouting out encouragement to DJ drummer Fred Latremouille who is playing his drums solo for a few seconds before the C-FUN Classics join in, and clearly the group is having a lot of fun, and Latromotion was a big hit on Vancouver radio station CFUN.
Good Lovin' is a pretty hot rock vocal with The C-FUN Classics doing a great job on instrumentation and while it isn't clear who is doing the singing as it a group effort, likely the singers are Howie Vickers and Claire Lawrence, with a hot sax solo from Clair Lawrence, competent drumming from Fred Latremouille and an overall R&B sound which was a bit unusual in those days.
The C-FUN Classics would later evolve into The Collectors in the late 1960's, and then Chilliwack in the 1970's and 1980's.
