It’s time to take your bread-crumb and ziplocks out of the pantry: Random Recipe and Bonsound Records are offering you Shake It! Bake It!, a crunchy EP sprinkled with bling, made up of eight remixed and rearranged songs that first saw the light of day a year ago on the band's debut album, Fold It! Mold It!.
This time around, though still faithful to their genre polygamy, Random Recipe flirts with electro, hip-hop, kitsch, indie and pop. More upbeat than its predecessor, Shake It! Bake It! was largely inspired by the energy associated with the group's live performances, which garnered high appraisal this past year. Joining the food-fight are artists with whom Random Recipe had dreamed about collaborating: JUNO award winner DJ Brace, MHMHMH and Capitaine Soldat all sign a remix.
