This jaunty single "Silly Jilly" b/w "Kevin's Theme" is a piano-oriented record by The Art Snider Ensemble. Snider was born in Ottawa in 1926 and died in Toronto in 1987. He was a pianist, record producer, arranger, and manager. He established and ran Chateau Records from 1956 to 1961. Later, he established and ran Sound Canada from 1967 to 1981, and Periwinkle Records label in 1973. He wrote the A side "Silly Jilly" which is best described as a kind of Pop Ragtime dance tune. Dreams, Fantasies Nightmares notes that "this group climbed to No. 74 in Canada on 17th June 1967 with Silly Jilly."
