Information/Write-up

An “audition disc” by The Chessmen featuring Mustang and Meadowlands. A unique demonstration 45 by Terry Jacks' first band of note, The Chessmen, that used to belong to the band's other guitarist, Guy Sobell. The typewritten logo says “Copywrite 1964, The Chessmen, Return to G.J. Sobell, 1792 Wesbrook Crescent, Vancouver 8, B.C.” The label is from Vancouver Recording Services, Robin Spurgin's recording studio on West Broadway where many bands recorded in the 1960s.
