Working Poor
Street Troopers:
Don't Let THEM WIN
Ain't looking for aggro, ain't looking for a war
Just boots running and ringing your door
Pipes smashing your head, your knee is broke
You're lying there, it was ten to one.
You got loads of money and you're in the clear.
Kick, kick, kick, kick, kick
Kick them down, don’t let them win
No it wasn't fair, it was nazi fun.
Get back up, don’t let them win
Union is all part of the game
Don’t let them win, don’t let them win
Chorus:
You don’t give a damn
You’ve gotta fuckin’ fight
Blatherskites
Chris - guitar, Ken - drums, Sara - bass, Tee - vocals
Media Schemes
The music nowadays is too controlled
The songs have no meaning, they're just being sold
Everything's flashy and it's all clean
But there's no blood and no real scene.
Just feed the people what you want them to hear
And rake in the cash with a media smear.
Are you prey to the media’s schemes
Following the trends of the mainstream
We’ve got something to say
Oi! Oi! music’s here to stay!
As soon as a new trend comes out
There’s 20 new bands ready to shout
About what cause and about what dream?
How did your preference change so fast?
If the new trend was murder would you do it too?

IMPACT
IMPACT formed in 1991 in the suburbs of Montreal.
Their early “punk rock minimaliste” led to 3 demos before being signed by DSS Records in Austria.
Now compared to the “Chaos Production” era of France, their sound is brutal, sometimes melodic, even ska-tinged.
Lyrics support working-class youth and multicultural, apolitical skinhead values.

Rabblerousers
That boy in the front of the line he was a friend of mine,
until he up and joined the other side.
He’s now a boy in blue and hides behind his gun
thinking he’s tough just for fun.
That night we watch him walking home
with anger in our eyes and frustration in our minds.
He tries to convince us all that what he’s done is right,
but he shouldn't interfere with skinhead pride.
You’ve got nowhere to go.
That boy lying in the streets he was a friend of mine,
until he up and joined the other side.
Anger and adrenaline were running through our blood
he should have known that he'd get done.
You’ve got nowhere to go.

Sin City Revolution – “Sin City Revolution”
We're stuck at a dead end
We've got no future, no hope, no chance to win
Jobless and broke, working so hard
Just to survive another day in this life
In our eyes the future is a fire hot
On everything we see
Cinder in sin city, we walk our lives
Holding our heads high and never give in
Revolution screams out nothing is done
The new breed fades away one by one.
Chorus:
Well, politician try and stop us now
We gonna take back your money and how
Freedom for the people, it's a revolution
There's no retreat
SIN CITY REVOLUTION
Sin City Revolution
Take back your life
Sin City Revolution
Take back your pride
Sin City Revolution
One working class
Sin City Revolution
One nation
Sin City Revolution
One fight
Sin City Revolution
One Hour!
Cleats – “My City”
20 years living here and I don’t intend to go,
This city means a lot to me, you know.
The memories and familiar streets,
I’m not going anywhere!
The city I live in, people say it’s dead,
But I don’t fucking care it’s where I live.
It’s only now that I realize how cool this place really is
And it’s been clear to me, there’s nowhere else I’d rather live.
Cheers to: Rob, our families, Laurel, Leah, Scotty, Pete, Cocksure, Ter, Mike, Madeleine, Systematics (R.I.P.), Dead Luke and The Skeptics, Mike Jo & 12 Point Buck, Simon & L’ère Bête, all the skins & punks that come to our shows and play soccer with us!

Vacant Lot - Rob’s Editorial
Well here it finally is, after over a year in the planning and delays too numerous to mention, Oi! Let’s Go Canada!
Thanx and gratitude go out to all the bands on this compilation for all the patience they’ve had with this project. Sorry for the delay, I hope it was worth the wait!
Thanx to Mike Jo at Longshot/DSS Canada for all the help, Dave Randall for his artwork and pure machismo, Sean for producing this slab of vinyl, the GAPP dept. at VCC, everyone across the country who’s shown support and given me feedback (cheers!) and of course everyone who buys it! Thanx.
Extra special thanks to my mom for having faith in me. Oi! Oi!
This album is dedicated to all the dead end kids everywhere.
You can’t take away our pride! – Rob.

Working Poor
She’s broken as a bottle lying at your feet
The budget has left her on the shelf
We won’t take this bullshit anymore
We don’t wanna be the working poor
I don’t wanna see no quick fix money
Come gentrify this side of town
Somebody promised to take care of us
And instead they pushed us up and out
Into the corporate zone, east side where they hide
With immigrants like the secret bastard children
That don’t count for much
So we pave the roads with tears
And sell out for shame
Band members:
Shawn – bass
Greg – drums
Nick – guitar
Clint – vocals
