Information/Write-up

Obscure Verdun, Montréal Rockabilly Nugget! Sullivan was a real horse jockey when not Rock & Rollin'. He toured with local talent revues and put on one heck of a show! This was slapped together from recordings done in the late fifties, including unfinished killers like "Rocking Chair Mama". Gordie began rockin' in 1957 but only released one 45 in the day. This scarce 500 copy pressing is a vanity release from the non union Plaza label of Montréal. It was released in 1964, even though Gordie was off the scene by then, and features older unreleased demos, including "Rockin' Chair Mama" which was comped on Party Date & Early Canadian Rockers 8.

Born in 1940 in Verdun, Quebec, Gordie died on November 29, 1963 in a plane crash.
