Additional Information
The album consists entirely of songs made famous by Hank Snow.
‘It’s You, Only You, That I Love’ and ‘Down the Trail of Aching Hearts’ are identified on the jacket as duets.
The members of the Maritimers are not identified on the album. I checked for a reliable personnel listing and did not find one. One later discographical source likewise notes that the backing musicians remain unidentified and offers only speculation about their identities, which I would not use as a MoCM credit.
Liner Notes
“It’s no coincidence that the songs on this album were all made famous by HANK SNOW.
After you hear Chuck Stewart’s versions of these all-time best sellers, you will agree that Chuck’s style is very close to that of his life-long favourite, Hank Snow.
Chuck was born in New Brunswick, but was raised in Amherst, Nova Scotia, which he calls home. He moved to Toronto a few years back. is well known as a club performer, as well as great performer on many radio and television shows. The tunes on this record are the ones he receives most requests for at shows. We are sure you will enjoy them.
A & R Direction Ben Weatherby”
