Don't be fooled by the title of the album. Produced by Bob Burns for A&M records, Sound 80 (Vol. 2) was released in 1974 but the studio musicians were trying for a futuristic sound.

Here is the blurb on the back cover: "Sound 80 is futuristic! A combination of contemporary and the symphonic. There is good in both and we have, what we believe, successfully consuMmated the marriage and made two different worlds, One. There is love, laughter, excitement and just plain fun in this album, and that pretty well sums up what music is; WHAT SOUND 80 IS!!
