About This Title

Notes From Underground
Once I started working with machines, there was no looking back. We moved to Lachine, got a cheap apartment, and with the difference in rent, paid off a 4-track, a synth, and a rhythm box. I started learning how to use that stuff while writing, writing, writing.

A funny thing happened to me, time and again. I'd wish for something -- something that would let me make my own beats, for instance. Within a couple of months, someone would put it on the market. A year later, the price would come down enough for me to afford it if I sold my older model, and ate beans. Then something to let me program my own bass lines would be my wish, followed by it coming on the market, and me eventually getting it. I wished for MIDI without knowing it was called that, and it happened. The results of my experimentations can be heard on my "Notes From Underground" album.

All the songs on this album were co-written with Elyce.
