In 1984 Craig Ruhnke was on A&M, making Keep the Flame with some of Toronto's top session players. The name Pinnacle first shows up on his records that year, as the publisher of his A&M single 'You're So Beautiful'. By 1985 Pinnacle was also a record label, putting out his singles from an office at 80 Richmond Street West in Toronto. The first ones had no catalogue number, only the pressing code from World Records, the plant that made them. Ruhnke produced and arranged 'Love's a Celebration' himself, and Steve Vaughan mixed it. It was later included on The Craig Ruhnke Collection Volume 1 in 1991, alongside 'Summer Girl' and 'You're a Heartbreaker'.
The B-side was already on its fourth release. 'Just Like Falling in Love Again' first came out in 1982, on his Sefel album Just Like the Old Times and as a Sefel single. In 1985 it was issued in Japan on Overseas Records' Urban Breeze in Love, and again here on the flip of this single. The players on it are the Toronto crew who cut 'You're a Heartbreaker' in 1980: Barry Keane, Gordon Lightfoot's longtime drummer, Tom Szczesniak on bass and Bob Mann on guitar. Matt Zimbel, who went on to lead Manteca, played percussion. Michael Godin produced it. In 1980, when Godin was at A&M, he had told Ruhnke that he loved his songs but wasn't producing them right.
