About This Title

Gerry Reeves (husband of Jenny Reeves) was an accomplished and talented musician, playing guitar on many albums (including those of his wife), and releasing this album of accordion music on Marathon Music.

Gerry Reeves was born Gerald Formanger in Port au Port , Newfoundland. He started his musical career learning to play the guitar while his father played the accordion. Because his father was interested in music he also taught Gerry to play the accordion.

When he was 17 years old he joined his first group as lead guitar. The playing shows and jamborees with stars such as Stonewall Jackson , Grandpa Jones, and Don Gibson.

Appearing with Chef Adams, The Adams Boy, and Jenny Reeves, he is a singer and lead guitar with the group.

Persuaded to record an album of accordion, Gerry dedicates this album to his Mom and Dad.
