Information/Write-up

The Peaches are a Canadian sister act singing group from Brampton, Ontario. The three sisters Johanna, Betty and Maria Hartzema were active in the 1970’s on Radio Shack’s Realistic Label and Periwinkle Records. Their sweet, smooth family harmonies had them touring across Canada from coast to coast entertaining the Canadian troops at different armed forces bases, performing at the Exhibitions and Ontario Place as well as appearing as guests on many television shows such as Country Roads, The Catherine McKinnon Show, Juliette and Friends, The Tommy Hunter Show, The Ronnie Prophet Show, Pig ‘n’ Whistle, Elwood Glover’s Luncheon Date and were regulars on The Bobby Vinton Show. They were regulars at many of the famous supper clubs in Toronto such as the Fairmont Royal York’s Imperial Room and Black Knight Room, the Woodbine Inn, the Savarin, and the Skyline. They continue to sing solo, together, with other family members, release their own material and performed a successful reunion show for the Among Friends Banquet for the Centre for the Grief Journey in Mississauga, Ontario. Maria presently has been releasing new material and sings with her daughter, Heidi. Maria Peach’s songs are available wherever you get your music. Betty presently is singing with their sister, Cathy. Johanna presently is singing for the Among Friends events and for the Centre for the Grief Journey.
